Posted on in Blog by tina hoang

This year's Emmy Awards has got us going crazy over the amazing glitz and gowns! Below are some of our favorite red carpet looks! You might also want to check out some of our formal selection to make it in time for your upcoming formal event!

Loving these neutral colours on Emma Roberts and Sofia Vergara. Definately compliment their skin tone beautifully!

Mum-to-be Cat Deely shows off her baby bump in an amazing  glittered gown while Sarah Hyland shows off her shoulder and curves in a fugure-hugging gown.

Talk about statement pieces, Kerry Washington and Heidi Klum is killing it! Kerry rocking it in metallics and Heidi showing off her slender legs in sheer netting.

These figure slimming styles will never got our of fashion.  With Jessica Pare's and Lavern Cox's choice of bold colours instead of busy prints, it leaves more room for other importamt things like shinny accesorries.

DIY color powder to celebrate The Color Run

Posted on in Blog by tina hoang

As many of you are aware, The Color Run Australia has been ‘racing’ around different cities of Australia and we were very lucky to have been able to team up with them for our ‘Color Run Giveaway’. We would like to give a huge shout out to Shine Tour who had recently sponsored us some double passes to give to our winners from all over Australia- Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne (see winners). We wish that we can take all of you but unfortunately we can’t. Since we can’t take all of you to this year’s Color Run, we thought why not we bring The Color Run to you?

We have been searching for the best DIY color powder for your color fight! This is not only perfect for your next  “color party” but it will save you lots of money.  Oh did we mention that these are also non-toxic?

Let’s get started with a lot of cornstarch and food coloring. You will need color paste or gel coloring as it works best in bringing out bold colors.

Any brand of cornstarch and food coloring will do.

In a pan, mix 2 cups of corn starch and 1 cup of water.  Mix together, using your hands as needed.  The mixture is difficult to mix so get right in there with gloved hands and squeeze it together.

Once mixed fairly well, add one full 1 ounce container of coloring paste. With gloved hands, mix until the color is blended thoroughly.  Repeat this process for each color using new gloves  each time.

If you want a bigger batch of each color, double the corn starch and water.

Place the pans in a dry location and let them dry out for a couple of days.  Over the drying days, you should use a fork to stir and break up the powder to give it a chance to dry out.

When the powder has dried completely, blend it in a food processor.

Place the powder in large mason jars or any containers. Spout lids are optional for pouring ease.

HAVE A BLAST!!! We would also like to thank everyone else who has entered this competition.
