We were so excited to meet and shoot Prue, owner of A Broke Girl's Blog! We had a chat with her and got to know a bit more about her and her influences:

Introduce yourself - name/age/occupation/city.

My name is Prudence Richardson (Prue), I am 21 years old and currently living in Brisbane. I work part-time at Beginning Boutique as an E-Commerce Assistant and study full-time.

What are you studying at the moment?
I am studying a dual degree of Journalism and Communications (majoring in media, culture and communication) at the University of Queensland.

Describe your style.
My style changes everyday depending on my mood. One day I'll wear a feminine pastel and lace combo, the next I'll be wearing my waxed denim pants and a leather jacket and the next a more vintage-inspired look! You never know what you'll get! In saying that, I generally love putting together my favourite season staples and then always finish the look off with something that makes a statement, whether that's a bright red lippy, a killer pair or heels or an out-there piece of jewellery.

Where are your favourite places to shop?
I am definitely an online shopper! Online shopping gives you the ability to shop across sites and find the best bargains. Some of my favourite stores are DGF (of course), Beginning Boutique, Shilla, Lola VS Harper and ASOS. In store I love visiting David Jones in sale time and the big DFO's! They have everything (and of course are incredibly affordable)!

Do you have any fashion influences?
I  LOVE the Olsen twins and Christine Centenera's style. I am absolutely obsessed with their looks. I will always take a little inspo here and there, but it is always so important to create your own unique style! Maybe one day others will take inspo from you!

List some wardrobe staples.
Right now I live in my leather-look pants (literally almost everyday), every colour boyfriend tee (black, white, grey, red - just alternate!), my black leather boots and leather jacket! Couldn't live without these bad boys.

How did you get into blogging? Any advice for future bloggers?
Having an obsessive shopping habit on a student budget isn't always the easiest! I have always been a self-confessed follower of fashion blogs, however I began to get frustrated with envying the beautiful clothes the girls posted that I simply could not afford. That's when I decided to start A Broke Girl's Blog! It allowed me showcase my knack for bargain hunting and show that you can still get your favourite looks on a budget.
